Who is eligible?
All students in Grades 7 - 12 at publicly-funded schools in Ontario are eligible. Your project team can be any size
(2 or more students) with an adult member of your school supporting the project.

What types of projects are eligible?
Any project idea is welcome – be as creative as you want! Your project will help create meaningful and positive change around the issue of discrimination (racism, sexism and/or homophobia). Your project will involve at least one community group (inside or outside of your school) to effect long-term community change. And you are committed to starting and completing the project between September and December 2011.

Funding
Grants between $500 - $1,500 will be awarded. The first half of the grant monies will be delivered to your school in September 2011; the second half will be sent to your school once a final report is submitted in January 2011. A sample report will be available soon.

Deadlines
bullet   Once completed please email to copa@rogers.com no later than May 27, 2011.
bullet   Your project idea must start September 2011 and end by December 31, 2011.
bullet   A report summary on your project will be submitted by your project team on/before January 31, 2012.
     A sample report will be available soon.

How will we know if we receive a grant?
If your project idea is chosen, the team leader of the project will be notified by email before June 30, 2011.
